Google, HP recall 1.45 lakh faulty Chromebook chargers

 Google and HP have reportedly recalled almost 1,45,000 Chromebook chargers citing potential fire hazard after consumers complained of overheating and melting during use.
The tech companies received complaints including one in which a small burn was reported along and another in which damage to a pillow due to the heat was reported.
According to Fox News, the search giant has urged users to stop using the chargers which are black in colour with the model number MU15-N1052-A00S, and contact the company for a replacement free of charge.
The report said that the chargers were sold at Best Buy,, HP’s website and on Google Play from October 2013 through November and were also included with the Chromebook 11 mini-computer that was unveiled in October.
